Oh that watercolour is great, there is a quality through your work and a notable aesthetic or characteristic that appears in both what youve painted and written. As if its clear it could be by the same hand. Wish i could figure out why it feels that way, but it just is, it seems.
Yes it's definitely a thing that runs through anyone's creative output. Faacinating really, kind of like an identity. For years I've been trying to find ways and the confidence to combine them all in different ways. I do really like how your sketches and notebook entries etc seem to just have it all layered and combined from the get go.

You're in the right place. Your after thought was a brilliant read following the darkish poem. Gorgeous sounds and alliteration. This is rich in wonderfully written imagery even though it's dystopian and then enters "porcelain" which I wonder if it is the young mind, person, finding their own way in a world that's pretty disturbed and ruined like a craving carcass... I'd say this is one of your best, but it's like picking a favourite child which is really unfair.
Thanks for your comments, Pilgrim! You know I like to write about childhood nostalgia, the loss of innocence, desire to return (Spawn question from last week) - it usually pops up in poems! 🍁🧡🍁
I didn’t know that. That’s like a great name for a poetry collection. I still remember the squirrel horror… hahahahhaha and of course the amazing poetry.
rotten
what an apropos title! 😘
😂😂 right!?🍁🧡🍁
It’s a very thought provoking poem.
Thank you 🍁🧡🍁
Is this the first watercolor you've shared? It's beautiful.
The first larger one! There are a few teeny ones in my journals xxx Glad you like 🍁🧡🍁

And thank you - manners out of the window when talking poetry! ;)
Ha! I’ve just been over to your profile and read your latest! I think your digital collage does the same for your piece! Ekphrasis!

I still love the horror squirrel!!!
I bet! It was a great story!
This feels like how I felt about myself on my darkest days when I was younger.
🍁🧡🍁 Yes, I wrote this a while ago - just tinkered with it a little x
Beautiful work
Thank you, Dana 🍁🧡🍁
